Opportunity for contract extension or made permanent
In IR35 up to £50/Per Hour (Umbrella)
37 hours; FT (Hybrid work-frame 2 DPW onsite)

As the UK’s trusted Ministry of Defence partner, our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the ISP Equipment team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving supplier performance, capability and risk management across MBDA UK programmes, supporting both established and emerging technologies in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated capability in internal and external supplier assessment, including business maturity, planning and control, relationship management and manufacturing excellence
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build, develop and leverage effective stakeholder networks
  • SC21 Practitioner experience would be highly advantageous
  • Proven negotiation and influencing capability, with confidence operating at pace and under pressure
  • Results‑driven mindset with resilience, determination and a strong focus on Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and professionally at all levels of the organisation

What do you need?
  • Degree‑calibre Supply Chain professional, ideally with experience working in international, high‑technology organisations
  • Proven supply chain management experience within Aerospace, Defence or complex Manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated ability to improve supplier delivery and quality performance using structured tools and lean methodologies
  • Experience managing a portfolio of suppliers, including performance reporting and supply chain risk management aligned to project needs
  • Strong capability in assessing supplier capacity and capability against current and future delivery requirements
  • Competence in process analysis, including process mapping, lead‑time analysis, capacity assessment, yield, resource evaluation and sub‑tier mapping
  • Advanced problem‑solving skills with hands‑on experience using methodologies such as DMAIC to deliver sustainable improvements
  • Ability to identify, escalate and mitigate supply chain risks, driving actions through to closure
  • Strong analytical capability with experience producing clear, concise executive‑level summaries

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.

This role is based at MBDA’s headquarters in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop.
